Topic: True Success
Bible Text: Matthew 10:8 (NIV)
… Freely you have received; freely give. (Matthew 10:8, NIV)
There are a lot of people who are successful in this world. They’ve accomplished their goals in the public eye. But being successful isn’t just about what you make happen for yourself, it’s about what you make happen for others. It’s when you realize, “God has blessed me not to just sit on my throne and let everybody see my accomplishments; God has blessed me to be a blessing to others. God has helped me to win so I can help somebody else win.” In other words, it’s when you realize, “God helped me overcome this addiction, now I’m going to find somebody and help them overcome.” Or, “God has blessed me with a happy family. I’m going to go find a family who is struggling and help them get back on track.” That’s what being successful is really all about.
Today, look for ways to help others succeed. Reach back and give freely of the talents and abilities you’ve been given. As you do, you’ll rise up higher and live in the fullness of the blessing God has prepared for you!
Father, thank You for giving me so much. Thank You for blessing me with talents and abilities and the desire to bless others. Show me ways to reach out and help others move forward and be successful so we can all rise higher together in Jesus name. Amen.

Topic: Seed of Faith 2
Bible Text: Matthew 20:17
Matthew 20:17 -: For verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Yesterday we are discussing on seed of faith and Jesus Christ asked us “where is your faith” we are continue from this question of our Lord Jesus, where is your faith is a broad question that as to do with every christian or Christ follower. This question is not telling us that we don’t have faith but rather Jesus want us to increase/develop our faith in the Father and Son. Here are some to develop our faith:
1). Sight Jesus as developer of your faith (Hebrew 12:2): If you want to develop your faith, this is where you start: Look away from all that will distract you and focus on Jesus. Why is this important? You turned away from the world, from the people, from your own feelings, from your suffering. When you don’t see all this again then Jesus will strength you more and more!
2). Make the Word of God final authority (Proverbs 4:20-22): To give the Word of God first place means you go to the Word on any situation or circumstance you’re facing and find out what God says about it first—before friends, family.
When you’re facing a situation in your health, your finances, a relationship or a work situation, you need to ask yourself one thing: “What does God’s Word say about my situation?” Then say, “THAT is THE FINAL WORD!”
3). Continually feeding on the Word (Deuteronomy 8:3): The Word of God is as necessary to your life as food. When you continually feed on the Word, you are depositing into your spirit, and it builds a reserve. You can’t wait until a crisis comes to try to develop your faith-you need a fresh supply, so it will be on the tip of your tongue. You won’t hesitate-you’ll speak boldly over your situation and be confident that it is handled. Amen
Thank You, Father, that as I do this, nothing shall be impossible to me! In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Topic: Seed of Faith
Bible Text: Matthew 20:17
Matthew 20:17 -: For verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Faith means we are convinced that there is a God; we are entice that He knows best, He has the power to save us – and everything He said about everything is the truth! Have you ask yourself what “FAITH” simple mean?
According to Hebrew 11:1 here is the best answer for “Faith” 11:1 — Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Heb. 11:1, NKJV). Faith stands under – that is, faith is THE SUB-STANCE of those things we hope for – that’s what faith does. And faith convinces us or affords the evidence of things not seen.
If you’ve been living in the shadow of a mountain, waiting for God to give you some kind of special faith, make a change today. Step out and put the measure of faith you have to work moving the spiritual, physical, mental or financial obstacles Satan has brought against you.
Romans 12:3 says God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. Believe Him! Step out in faith about that faith! Say, “Heavenly Father, I thank You that through faith in Jesus Christ, You have shared Your nature and Your Spirit with me. I am grateful for the measure of faith imparted to me as a believer.
Every faith is a seed and any seed sow/plant will expecting it to come into existence and develop. If we plant this faith and water it with the Word of God (Romans 10:17), expect it to grow and overcome the mountains in your life and in the lives of those that you intercede (Amen). Today Jesus Christ is asking you where is your “FAITH” Luke 8:25

Topic: Delight Yourself
Bible Text: Psalm 112:1,7
Psalm 112:1,7 :- Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
The man who makes a habit of delighting in God’s Word will have a heart that’s fixed! He can make it through disastrous situations without losing his balance. His mind’s made up before he ever gets to the disaster. He’s victorious before he ever gets there. A person like that is hard to whip!
The sad thing is that most believers wait until the disaster hits before they start trying to establish themselves on the Word. They wait until their back is against the wall. Then, suddenly, they get real spiritual and start fasting and praying…and all too often they find they’ve started too late.
That’s like a guy who finds out a burglar is in his house and then starts looking for the barbells, so he can build up enough muscle to throw the burglar out. He’s not going to make it! If he’d been working out instead of watching television every night, he’d have been ready. But as it is, he’s headed for a painful defeat.
Be ready before the devil breaks into your house. Get your heart fixed. Turn off the television. Turn off the distractions of the world and turn on the Word. The time to start establishing yourself on it is right now!

Topic: Base Your Life On God
Bible Text: Psalm 16:9
Psalm 16:9 -: Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
David’s heart was glad-he had found the secret to joy. True joy is far deeper than happiness; we can feel joy in spite of our deepest trouble.
Happiness is temporary because it is based on external circumstances, but joy is lasting because it is based on God’s presence within us. As we contemplate his daily presence, we will find contentment. There are ways to life your life base on God alone;
1). Remember Who You Are
We must remember who we are and that we belong to a diverse family of faith.
When were experiencing a communal identity crisis that forced us to ask questions like:
i. Who are we?
ii. Should we just blend into the surrounding culture?
iii. Can we really make a difference?
iv. Can—should—our children live different lives than our neighbors?
v. Does our faith even matter at all?
All this question are matter a lot for every man (who are in Christ) because there was royalty in their blood. And it’s a truth that speaks to our spiritual identity. In Christ, we, too, “are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession” (1 Pet. 2:9).
2). Finding God in Our Desperate Places
We experience God’s strength in our weakness.
Desperate places are places of weakness, brokenness, and vulnerability. They are those times in our lives where we’re at wits’ end, and if God doesn’t show up with power and redemption, we’re lost. Second Chronicles 32:1-22 describes a desperate place. It also tells a story about finding God’s strength in the midst of weakness, brokenness, and vulnerability.
3). Your Whole Life Matters to God
All of life is an act of worship and an opportunity to serve and please God.
Many of us assume there is a chasm between two realities: the sacred and the secular. We go to church a few hours a week to perform our sacred duties. The rest of our week we’re out there living in the real world. Of course, there are those who “go into ministry”—pastor a church, serve on a church staff, live on the mission field, work for a Christian organization. Most of their lives appear to revolve around the sacred. The rest of us, though, seem to simply slog away at our secular jobs. Unfortunately, this so-called split between the sacred and secular severs a huge chunk of our lives from God’s good plan for us.
As we understand the future he has for us, we will experience joy. Don’t base your life on circumstances, but on God.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ help to base my life on God and not on my own understanding

Topic: Your Destiny, Your Choice
Bible Text: Psalm 136:19
Psalm 136:19 :- Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written. The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
Your life is not an accident. You have a destiny, one that only you can complete. The Bible says, “All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old” (Psalm 139:16).
God knows everything that’ll happen in your life. He’s not surprised by anything. And he knows your days have a destiny. And he has given you a destiny —something to do in this life, something only you can do. Before you were born, God wired you with certain ambitions, desires, and drives to play a particular role in history — one that only you can play.
The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” . Before you were born, God gave you a unique mixture of spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences. There’s no one like you in the entire universe because, in part, there’s no one with your unique mix of talents. It’s why your destiny is so unique. It’s your destiny. Not your mother’s, not your father’s, not your pastor’s. It’s your destiny.
But here’s the painful part: You can miss God’s destiny for your life. People do it all the time. In fact, you can go through your entire life and miss God’s purpose for your life — by your own choices. If you choose to chase pleasure, popularity, or money instead of God, you’ll miss it. And that’s tragic. God’s will is not automatic. He allows us to make choices. Many of the things that happen to you are not God’s perfect will. We all have to choose between God’s will and our will. We often choose our will.
If I got drunk, fell in a pool, and drowned, that wouldn’t be God’s will for my life. It would be my own stupid decision. God has a destiny for your life, but he won’t force it on you. But you can have God’s will for your life. Even when you mess up, God can turn disaster into destiny. It’s never too late to have his perfect will in your life. Just pray, “God, I want your purpose for my life,” and you won’t miss it — no matter where you’ve been. He’ll get you in line with his purpose. He wants you to fulfill your destiny more than you do!
That is why Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.” God’s will is done perfectly in Heaven. He wants it done perfectly in your life, too.
Notice that your destiny is your choice.
Think about these:
What are some of the unique talents and experiences God has given you to use?
What gets in the way of you fulfilling God’s destiny for your life?
Prayer:
God help to fulfill your divine plan for my life in Jesus name.

Topic: Where Does lt Come From?
Bible Text: Psalm 68:35
Psalm 68:35 -: O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
Energy, power and strength come from God. This psalm ends on a note of confidence as David proclaims that ‘the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!’. Amazingly, God promises to give you his power and his strength.
Strength and Power are one of the source of life, any man that is powerless will surely suffer of many things and today reading is open our eye’s to the origin of the power and strength we needs to life and to enjoy life in fullness. Brethren let move close to the source of strength and power.
David prays, ‘Summon your power, O God; show us your strength, O God, as you have done before. In contrast, he is dismissive of any attempt to seek power elsewhere. He talks of the worldly power of an evil regime, ‘Rapacious in her lust for silver, crushing peoples. Yet he knows that ultimately such power ‘will submit… to God. David knows from his own experience that God’s power is more than enough for all his needs.
Let us all know that God power and strength is enough for us…
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, that you will give ‘power and strength’ to your people. Fill me today with your energy, power and strength.

Topic: Be Positive In Your Thinking.
Bible Text: Proverbs 23:7
Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”. In other words, what we think will be evident in our outward attitudes and actions. This means that our thoughts are nothing to take for granted. Our perspectives and thoughts hold the power to determine our attitudes and also our tomorrows. Fortunately, we get to choose what our tomorrows look like, one thought and one day at a time.
The Bible contains God’s promises for our lives and the instructions we need to experience them. When we believe the Word of God more than we believe our circumstances or what we think and feel, we have more peace, joy and wisdom to get through the hard times to victory.
Renewing our minds with God’s Word so we have right thinking is the first and most fundamental step to a better life. You can’t wish your way to a better life, and you can’t worry your way to a better life. Learning God’s Word and discovering how to think as God thinks will bring about a victorious life in Christ.
True joy and a positive attitude come from the choice to change your thoughts, not from a problem-free life. So, dear friend, let today be the first day of your new optimistic life. Let it be the first day of a fresh season of life where you begin living a life of optimism, seeing the glass as half full instead of half empty.
As you read, I pray that God will open the door of your heart and help you begin to let your faith be in control of your mind so you can take back your thoughts. If you are ready to be rescued, God is ready to pull you out of the muck of negativity and discouragement.
PSALM 37:4 – Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
NOTE: No matter how your life started, what’s important is how you finish. God can do amazing things in you and through you as you put your trust in Him.

Topic: Power In The Name Of Jesus Christ
Bible Text: John 16:23
John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Do you know how much power there is in the name of Jesus? As Jesus leaves his disciples, he says to them, ‘I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete… In that day you will ask in my name’ (John 16:23–26).
I want to take this opportunity to share with you about that mighty power. In Proverbs 18:10 King Solomon wrote: “The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.” Solomon likened the Lord’s name to a strong tower for 3 reasons.
1. We have healing in His Name
(Read John 21:25; Luke 7:1-10; Mark 16:17-18)
A. The Synoptic Gospels and the Gospel of John record at least 35 healing miracles Jesus performed. A large number of miracles are not even mentioned.
B. Jesus’ miracles are divided into 03 categories. Physical & spiritual healing, raising the dead and manipulating nature.
C. Jesus has vested us with that same power. He promised when we lay our hands on the sick in his name they will be healed.
2. We have authority in His Name
(Read Luke 4:41; Acts 7:55; Luke 10:17)
A. The Bible says Jesus performed at least 06 exorcisms. The demons fled because they knew Jesus is the son of God.
B. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God is a metaphor used by Jesus himself to show God has vested his power and authority on him.
C. Demons know we are the disciples of Christ. Therefore they will flee when we rebuke them in Jesus’ name.
3. We have victory in His Name
(Read Job 14:5-12; 1 Corinthians 15:55; Romans 8:38-39)
A. Today science has a solution for almost every problem. But it still hasn’t found solutions to the problems of aging and dying.
B. Jesus raised at least 03 people from the dead, (one was dead for days!) Finally, he conquered the death in its entirety and its effect on the human race.
C. Even today people are being raised from the dead in far corners of the world. If Jesus conquered death what else is capable of standing against us?
Someone said, ‘The day of miracles is not past, because the God of miracles is still present!” I said these things because I want you also to experience the mighty power in Jesus’ name. There’s power in that name because he is alive and not dead. It doesn’t matter how big your problem is, how bad your sickness is or how powerful your demons are? All that is under Jesus’ feet. The victory is yours. Just claim it in the name of Jesus.
Prayer: God please, give me understanding to know the power in the Name of Jesus Christ

THEME : THE BLESSINGS OF CSR (CHRISTIANITY SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY)
MEMORISE :
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17
READ : Act 2:41-47 (KJV)
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : Ezra 7-8, Hosea 1,
HYMN : HYMN 5
MESSAGE:-
Christianity Social Responsibility (CSR) is not a 21st century concept or idea; it has been with the Church from the beginning of the Christian faith.
Today’s Bible reading describes the format it took and impact it had on the early Church. Of a truth, there are lots of blessings that accrue to us individually and collectively as the Body of Christ when we take CSR seriously. The Church of Christ stands the chance of being tremendously blessed if we take the issue of caring for the poor and downtrodden as part of our mission, beginning from our local environment to the ends of the earth. As individuals, we will be tremendously blessed if we give heed to the words of today’s memory verse, which is part of the infallible word of God that never fails. My personal experience from giving to the poor is a testament to the veracity of this scripture.
There is the story of a Church leader who became a Christian as a result of the hospitality shown to him by a Christian couple during the Nigerian civil war.
According to his account, he staggered into the camp of a Christian couple during the civil war, and they received him like their own kinsman, giving him a plateful of rice. A plate of rice during the civil war was worth a fortune, but they gave it to him because of the love of Christ. The man of God said he decided there and then to serve the God of this couple, who did not only provide for them during those austere times but also taught them to be good to others. He concluded in his heart that the God who made human beings as good as this couple must indeed be a very good God.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
The Church at Philppi manifested certain virtues which triggered the declaration of this wonderful promise. Narrating what they did, Philippians 4:15-16 says:
“Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.”
It was their concern for the welfare of God’s servant and the success of his assignment that moved heaven to release the wonderful promise in Philippians 4:19 to them. Beloved, let us go back to the basics of Christians hospitality and communal living, and it will not be long before the whole world will be won to Christ through our love, care and spirit of sharing.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please restore to Your Church the spirit of caring, sharing and love.
Monday 7 October, 2019.
Topic: NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH (Proverb 12:20,22)
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. (Proverbs 12: 20,22).
A store manager heard his clerk tell a customer, ”No, ma’am, we haven’t had any for a while, and it doesn’t look as if we’ll be getting any soon.” Horrified, the manager came running over to the customer and said, ”Of course, we’ll have some soon.” Then he drew the clerk aside. ”Never”, he snarled, “never, never, never say we’re out of anything – say ‘we’ve got it on order and it’s coming’. Now, what was it she wanted anyway?” The clerk said, ”Rain!”.
Truth, according to the Scriptures, establishes and entrenches righteousness while lying will bring the displeasures and judgment of God. The Proverbs also paint a beautiful picture and wonder of carefully chosen words that are devoid of deceit. When the truth is maintained, there will be joy and peace in our relationships and life will become less burdensome.
Our society use different methods and equipment to find out whether an alleged criminal is lying or not. But the most sophisticated technology can not really detect lies or truth. Spouses lie to one another in the name of keeping the peace; parents lie to their children and vice versa; employers and employees do the same. Advertisers lie to sell products. Politicians lie to spin things their way. The lying spiral is endless.
Believers must believe, tell and live out the truth. Christ is Truth personified and truth is the character in of God. No one can possess this nature of God without the new birth experience. So, making efforts to stop lying will be futile; all you need is a total surrender of your life to Christ today.
Truthfulness pays both now and in eternity
